About Us

Medvivo Group provides clinical services and telecare response.

Medvivo offers a truly integrated solution to a broad range of health and social care needs, delivering excellence of care, innovation and the highest quality.

Medvivo is a provider of Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) and related services, located in the South West of England. We are one of the few companies that is accredited to the TSA Code of Practice for Telecare Response.

Our history

Wiltshire Medical Services was founded in 2004 in response to the change to the GP contract to run GP out of hours services for North Wiltshire PCG. Consolidation and reconfiguration provided the opportunity for Wiltshire Medical Services (WMS) to develop its offering and the company matured into a respected and trusted provider of quality services with the flexibility to meet the changing needs of the Wiltshire health community.

WMS was successful in the tendering for an Urgent Care service across the whole of Wiltshire in 2010 and this provided the springboard for the next phase of the company’s development. The dynamic nature of WMS enabled it to embrace the recent changes and develop an integrated health and social care service. This was initially in the form of a Telecare Monitoring and Mobile Response Service for Wiltshire Council supporting their Help to Live @ Home initiative and more recently in delivering a joint health/social care rapid response service in order to prevent inappropriate admission and facilitate early discharge from hospital.

In 2013 Wiltshire Medical Services received investment from Fidelity Group and Medvivo Group Ltd was created.

In June 2014, Medvivo Group acquired Dorchester-based Medvivo Careline from the Magna Housing Group and combined with Medvivo's telecare services to create a larger, more robust organisation, with two TSA accredited call centres.

In May 2018, Medvivo successfully bid for the Integrated Urgent Care service for Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire which brings the GP Out of Hours together with NHS 111 and a new Clinical Assessment Service.

In December 2019, Appello, the UK’s largest telecare monitoring provider, acquired Medvivo Careline Ltd, the telecare and out of hours call monitoring service from Medvivo Group.

In December 2020, Medvivo joined the HealthHero Group, a leading healthcare services group with a presence in the UK, Ireland, Germany and France.
